His music will live forever
Frances Albert is my peer. Somewhere between Hoboken and Hollywood was Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, a small town in New Jersey where we both lived for a short time. His music parallels my life. As we lived through WW2, I can remember the screaming and swooning of the young women who adored him, peers all. Tommy Dorsey and Helen C., -- a long time ago. Each song brings back a vivid memory of a milestone event in my life. That will never change. He needed to record just one more song ..."I'll always be around".
Just a special update for those of you who haven't already heard the news. Old Blue Eyes has died. He died last night of heart failure in Los Angeles. He was 82 years old. I don't know all of the details surronding his death...but I do know that his family was at his side when he died. I'm really sorry to be here with such bad news but I thought that those of you who hadn't heard would want to know. Once again on this 15th day of May 1998...Frank Sinatra...dead at 82.
