Godspeed Frank. Now home at last. 14 May 1998. It's good to read poems, essays and the like.
The Song is You -- Always Was, Always Will Be. FRANK SINATRA WAS A WONDERFUL SINGER WHO BROUGHT COMFORT AND JOY TO MANY MILLIONS OF PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. I PREDICT HE WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS THE GREATEST POP SINGER OF ALL TIMES. THIRTY YEARS FROM NOW WE WILL STILL BE TALKING ABOUT AND LISTENING TO FRANCIS ALBERT SINATRA. Love, Dear Frank, Your music will live on forever in the hearts of millions. I hope to have children of my own one day - and I will raise them with your sweet voice ever-present. My deepest sympathy to your family. May they take comfort in knowing that the chorus of angels are now blessed with the sweetest voice of all. Andrea Valeria It's sad that Frank Sinatra died. He was a good singer, and people liked his songs. Frank Sinatra is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. We will miss him alot. Only one male singer in my lifetime has brought tears in my eyes, and made the hair stand up on the back of my neck.I am now nearly 65 years old, and his wonderful voice has been a part of most of my life.I liked Frank swinging especially with Count Basie & Nelson Riddle, but to me the balleds were Frank at his greatest.I could not name a favourite there are so many, so long for now Frank. Michael H Chairman - You arrived on the scene when our parents were kids as were you. You sadly left the scene when our kids were here. In between, there was a whole lot of greatness, a treasure of songs and movies and shows and living. You taught us what it meant to swing, to be a gentleman, to have style. You taught us how to do it our way as you did it yours. Francis, if I may be so bold to address you as such, I will sorely miss you. Keep those Rat Pack shows goin' in heaven so's when I (hopefully) get there, I can catch your act. And say hey to Harry Caray for me, please. God Bless You, Frank Sinatra. May you have eternal life and an eternal concert with our Lord. As a singer myself, I always admired his style and strove to imitate his phrasing ability. He has always been a major influence on the material I chose to perform and record. I saw him in concert three times and will never forget it. He was truly a legend in his own time. Thank you for providing the medium to allow us to express our love of Frank. He will be sorely missed, but the music lives on. Beverly J. Hess Goodbye, Frank. Although we never met, I will always think of you as a pal. Like so many countless others you never knew, you touched my life and brought happiness with your beautiful voice. There was rarely a time when I wasn't in the mood to hear a Sinatra song. You may be gone, but your music will live on forever. I feel honored to have lived during your lifetime, and to have appreciated your music while you were still making it. You will be missed by millions. When I heard about Frank's death I stopped. Part of me was gone. Frank was great. He touched me in so many ways. His music and how he sang it was just wonderful. I am 37 and I grew up with a lot of Frank's music because of my Uncle Ralph and my father. I can relate to so much of his music. It touches me deeply. I'll miss him and it is true this century is over and we lost a lot when Frank died. But I'll keep him alive in my house and heart always. God Bless Frank. He was one and only one of a kind. |
