Francis Albert Sinatra : 1915 - 1998

"We've got Frank under our skin."
The Voice lives on.

I caught on to Sinatra when I was 14 years old. I am 16 now. The first song that I fell in love with was "Fly me to the Moon". The song had so much swagger and rhythm. After I heard that, it was all over from there on. I wanted to get my hands on any Sinatra thing I could possibly grasp. He had such a uniqueness that was simply unexplainable. He personified the way to sing. He sang every song like it was real. He took ownership over any piece of music he got his hands on. It wasn't a Cole Porter song or a Gershwin Medley, it was "Frank Sinatra Music". With every word he sang, if it was meant to be serious, funny or happy, it had an everlasting effect on me. If I was ever down, I'd put on a little "Luck be a Lady", and it would cheer me right up. It is hard to explain how much meaning he has had in my life. I once had dreams of singing a duet with him or shaking his hand, or even seeing him live in concert, but I guess those dreams will never become a reality. We are very fortunate to have such a great performer on Cd's, videos, the internet etc. We can enjoy his work until the year 3,000. Although Francis Albert Sinatra has passed on to a greater life. His music, his voice, his legacy, will live in my heart forever, Thank you Frank!

Love,
Jonathan

Dear Frank,

Your music will live on forever in the hearts of millions. I hope to have children of my own one day - and I will raise them with your sweet voice ever-present.

My deepest sympathy to your family. May they take comfort in knowing that the chorus of angels are now blessed with the sweetest voice of all.

My name is Sarah and I have Frank's birthday. Like everyone else, I can't believe he isn't on this Earth anymore. He is a legend and we are lucky to have been blessed with such a great performer and man.

Losing FAS is like losing part of your family. It is indescribable the overwhelming feeling of loss when someone that has been such a part of your life is no longer with us.

I can not think of a family function, wedding or get together that Sinatra was not played.

He was as part of my life as any memory or any experience I have had, and he will be missed.

Remember waiting on line for 4hours to see Mr. Sinatra. Cut school and loved every minute of it. However I didn't get in the line was longer than I thought. As far as I'm concerned His Just On the Road. My God hold you soft in His embrace. Keep singing loud and clear - we hear you.

The world will never be the same without Frank Sinatra. He's been my favorite singer for YEARS! We will miss the pleasure of his company, but we will all still have his wonderful voice..... the King lives on.

The passing of Mr. Sinatra broke my heart. His song, " You are my music" became the theme song of my marriege of 22 years. Back in 1977, I was listenning that song on my work, when this gal, attracted by the melody, approxed to me and we enjoyed that song together. Since then, my life has being wonderful and soon after we started dating, we moved to California and collecting and listening his songs. In our time, back in Brazil, our generarion used to listen Frank Sinatra's songs, to learning English, so good and clear were his sings. Thanks, Mr. Frank Sinatra for being there. God Bless you. You still alive and strong in our hearts and in our hears. You were, certainly larger than life. And I am happy that you lived your life the way you did, at your finest and helping those in need.

So long, Friend.
