A sad day. So it is when someone is really missed. I'm very sorry to hear that frank died yesterday night. We really loved his Music their will not be another one like Frank Sinatra. Our prayers and sympathy to his family. We all know that he is with God and free of his suffering. Frank Sinatra cared about the songs he sang and respected them with the writer's best interest. He never compromised his style. Never needed any superstar producers, sampling, special guest rappers or diluting his style of music in order to mesmerise us. I'm 29 years old and I think a lot of artists from my generation and before should learn from Sinatra about music. Music isn't about making money or becoming famous. Music should be respected and appreciated with respect to the writer and to the musician who performs it. I challenge anyone who never respected music to do so. That goes for you, Babyface, Puff Daddy, and all you so-called musicians turned businessmen. That goes for you too, Hanson. Frank Sinatra taught us that music is the food of life: let's not let the superproducers abuse it. It's hard to believe that he is gone. His generosity and humanity will be remembered for generations to come. He was a fine man who I greatly admired and respected. His spirit will live on as long as we can see his movies and listen to his music. There never was or will ever be another Voice. "once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right" -- Jerry Garcia I was very sorry to hear of the death of Frank Sinatra, one of the really great voices and personalities of our time. He seemed to be a very happy man in the latter years, I believe that is due to having a wonderful and loving wife, Barbara. I was a member of the bobby-sox generation and remember the beginning years of Sinatra's career. I pray that his family finds comfort in knowing that Frank Sinatra will be remembered as one of the great singers of all time. THE MAN WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL FIVE OF MY KIDS WHAT MORE CAN I SAY HE'LL BE IN HEARTS ALL OVER THE WORLD FOR EONS TO COME HE MAKES ME FEEL SO YOUNG When I was seventeen (in 1940) I saw Frank Sinatra wow us from the stage of the N.Y.Paramount...When I was twenty one (in 1944) I heard him via the radio, in the Pacific during WW2. And when I was about thirty five or forty I had the great privilige of seeing "ole blue eyes" at The Sands in Las Vegas. And once again I saw the master perform in the mid eighties at Carnegie Hall in N.Y....Now I'm seventy five and I can honestly say that Frank Sinatra contributed towards much happiness in my life with his wonderful music and charisma. Thank you Mr. Chairman of the Board, for so many GREAT years...and sleep peacefully |
