...or... "The Trouble with High-Tech Industry Conferences and Carbon-Based Life Forms"

I was looking forward to OSCON 2002. Even though Carl and I were in the midst of a site launch (quick on the heels of our last launch), we were bound and determined not to be overwhelmed by events. Our confidence levels were high when Our Secret Weapon agreed to meet us in San Diego. We were so optimistic, in fact, that we decided to turn the event into a family road-trip down scenic Highway 1.

When we arrived at our destination (many unscheduled stops later), the Launch Gods did not smile upon me. I had to decide between wrapping up the remaining issues on Mappa.Mundi or attending the conference. I even stayed behind while Carl went on to give the NetTopBox Status Report. But just because my carbon-based life form never made it to OSCON, doesn't mean I didn't feel some part of the experience.


I've disregarded this mere technicality and am publishing MY OSCON 2002 PHOTOS anyway on behalf of my disgruntled molecules.
