Core Technologies Program
|
OPEN SOURCE INFRASTRUCTURE
|
The IMS Core Technologies Program focuses on fundamental technologies that
can be used by a variety of applications. Our program currently has
four main thrusts:
|
We are extending the Blocks Architecture, which currently consists
of the BEEP core protocol and the APEX and ANTACID services.
|
|
We are preparing for release the SpaceMapper scripting language
for scraping HTML pages into XML. The programming team is
headed by Remus Pereni of NoLimits Technologies in Romania.
| |
We are preparing for release collaborative filtering algorithms
and software which are being contributed as part of the THE IMS !.COM PROGRAM
| |
We are developing a system for document annotation based on
Xpath, XML, and XSL-T which will be used for annotating intellectual
property and standards documents.
|
All work on the Core Technologies Program is released at Mappa.Mundi
as open source.
Any standards submissions from the program are submitted
first for review to our internal Protocol Advisory Board, chaired
by Marshall T. Rose. Other members of the Protocol Advisory
Board include Dave Farber and Paul Vixie.
