Want to gain some insight into the net? Well, it's springtime here on the Internet-and that means it's time for the annual FOUNDING FATHERS RAFFLE, brought to you by the Internet Multicasting Service. ENTER THE RAFFLE and win a chance to meet for two hours with several of the founding fathers of the Internet!
This year, our raffle has three great prizes. FIRST PRIZE is a chance to meet with Vint Cerf (co-inventor of the TCP protocol and a founder of the Internet Society), Dave Farber (a distinguished professor who taught many Internet pioneers and the former Chief Technologist of the FCC), and Milo Medin (a founder and CTO of @Home and former chief architect of NASA's Internet). ALSO FIRST PRIZE is a chance to meet with pioneering publisher and open source advocate Tim O'Reilly and Eric Schmidt, the Chairman of Google. YET ANOTHER FIRST PRIZE is a chance to meet with noted standards expert Marshall T. Rose and Paul Vixie, one of the moving forces behind the Domain Name System.
Your suggested tax-deductible donation of $1,000 gives you a chance to win at our drawing on April 30. Send in more than one ticket and leverage your chances! Meetings are intended to take place in the San Francisco Bay Area and you'll need to arrange mutually agreeable time(s) and place(s) with your designated father(s) if you win. Raffle tickets must be received by SnailMail by April 30 to enter and this offer is void where prohibited by law.
Your participation in the FOUNDING FATHERS RAFFLE helps support the public works projects of the Internet Multicasting Service. This year, our NetTopBox Program is leading the drive to open up Electronic Program Guides and our Core Technologies Program is creating exciting new languages and standards for the net.
To stay abreast of the latest IMS signals, signals-request@invisible.net to join our mailing list.
Send your tickets in today-and enjoy your meeting(s) with your father(s)!
Sincerely Yours,
Carl and Rebecca Malamud
