What We Do
The Internet Multicasting Service builds crucial infrastructure
for the Internet. Our efforts focus on open protocols, open
source, and open data that make new services available quickly.
Our development efforts today are focused on three major programs.
The Public Trust Program
is an effort to turn the .org Top Level Domain into a public trust.
The NetTopBox Program is
building service, specifications, and software to open up electronic
program guides.
The Core Technologies Program
focuses on protocols and software that can be used in NetTopBox and a
wide variety of other applications.
In addition, we maintain permanent archives for a large number of
our past projects and data repositories, including
resource.org.
