Weslia Whitfield

spaceWeslia Whitfield is one of those rare and wonderful performers often described as a "singer's singer." Long established as San Francisco's top pop/jazz stylist, she has brought her sumptuous voice and pitch-pipe-sure intonation to elegant venues all over the United States.
spaceMs. Whitfield was born in Santa Maria, California. At a young age she had already chosen her career. She worked as a singing waitress and was a member of the San Francisco Opera Chorus. It wasn't until the mid-1970s that she began singing in nightclubs. Ultimately she began producing and distributing her own albums, and along the way there has scarcely been a San Francisco jazz venue or cabaret that she hasn't graced. The classicism of a perfect vocal instrument, along with an intuitive ability to communicate the totality of a Iyric, are Weslia Whitfield's special gifts -- gifts that she will share with her many fans through her recordings and personal appearances for many years to come.
